Ngarnal Community Health must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Privacy Act contains thirteen (13) Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) which are rules about how Ngarnal Community Health may collect, use, dispose, and store your personal and sensitive health information, and how you may access and correct records containing your personal and sensitive information. Ngarnal Community Health is committed to complying with all applicable privacy laws and protecting your privacy in accordance with the 13 APPs.

Please read the full Privacy Policy which is available from our office Reception as it describes the types of data we collect from you, how we use your data and the legal bases and quality systems we have in place to process your data, where processing is based on your consent and to the extent permitted by law, by agreeing to provide your details and data to Ngarnal Community Health, you consent to Ngarnal Community Health’s collection, use and disclosure of data as described in Ngarnal Community Health’s Privacy Policy. In some cases, we will provide separate notice and request your consent as referenced in the Ngarnal Community Health Privacy Policy.

Ngarnal Community Health will take all reasonable steps to:
a. Ensure that personal information collected and held is accurate, complete and up-to-date;
b. Protect the personal information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure; and
c. Store personal information securely, with access limited to only those people necessary to manage and use the information, in accordance with the Ngarnal Community Health Privacy Policy.
